The nation’s development trajectory highlights the broader challenge of ensuring that growth does not come at the expense of environmental integrity. Industrial ecology offers a valuable framework for designing systems that optimize resource use and reduce emissions, supporting sustainable development. This talk will explore these dynamics, focusing on Asia’s low-carbon future and the role of the International Society for Industrial Ecology in advancing solutions.
